Over the years I have completed a number of public commissions for schools, hospitals, housing estates, community centres and gardens, parks and most recently the exterior wall of a business centre on my local high street.

These installations have been funded by local authorities or local grants and private businesses.

They have usually involved members of the community in either the design consultation process or the making of the piece. In this way the community gain a sense of pride and ownership over the work and their local environment. The Sherwood Tree of Knowledge Mosaic involved around two hundred people from the local area. You can imagine how positive an experience it has been for those involved to be part of such a joint project and to see their work permanently displayed on their own high street.
